G3 Bible Summary for Second Sementer

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Peter said that Jesus was the Christ of God

To follow Jesus means to live like God wants you to.

When you take up your cross, you put God’s will first.

Jewish people go to Jerusalem to celebrate Pentecost.

God promised the Holy Spirit to believers.

On Pentecost day, people hear the sound of thunder.

The believer sees something like flames above their heads.

The Jewish visitor to the city hears their own language when the believer praise God.

Romans 8:18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

1 Chronicles 16:24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.

At the Transfiguration, Moses represented the law and Elijah represented to the work and words of the Old Testament prophets. Jesus fulfilled the Law and the prophecies; He is the Savior. 

Transfiguration means a significant change.

Three thousand people came to faith in Jesus as Savior and were baptized on the day that Peter’s sermon.

What did Peter do when he realized he had denied Jesus? He wept.

What ministry did Jesus give to Peter? To feed His lambs, to take care of His sheep, to be like a shepherd.

Believer in Christ are Jesus’ lambs and sheep.

Peter’s life changed after the Holy Spirit came to him.

Repentance is the first step to take to be restored to God. Four steps on Peter’s restoration: repentance, getting faith in focus, following Jesus, serving boldly. 

When Stephen saw toward heaven, he saw the glogy of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.

How did Stephen respond to the persecution? He called God and forgave the men who were killing him.

Jesus gave His followers in Acts !:8 to take the Gospel message to all parts of the earth.

When Saul on the road to Damascus to find believers, a dazzling light surrounded him, and Jesus began to speak to him. Saul life was changed that day.

From Psalm 34:13-14 we learn how to serve God:

Keep your tongue from evil, keep your lips form peaking lies. Depart from evil and do good. Seek peace and pursue it.

When Paul traveled, he encouraged others. When Paul was tired, he persevered. When Paul heard bad news, he comforted others. When Paul’s friends asked him not to go to Jerusalem, he obeyed God.

How many times did Apostle Paul do ministry? Four times.
